DEPTFORD — While coronavirus cases continue to surge across the state, the desire to celebrate the Christmas season remains unabetted to the viewers of Deptford’s Dazzling Light Show.

In many ways, the seasonal spectacular that has taken place for the past few years on a neighborhood street here is tailor-made for our socially distanced times. Spectators only have to line up in their cars, await their turn, and enjoy the show. The event is a musically synchronized light show that can be heard by tuning your car radio to FM channel 89.1.

The Branchwood drive spectacular features over “30,000 individually addressable pixels designed to light up your family’s holiday,” according to a description on the home’s Facebook page.

A local favorite, the family light show features reindeer, Pac-man, Minecraft-nutcrackers, a giant Nintendo, and much, much more.

Also, the show was recently featured in NJ’s 101.5’s top 10 light displays.

To help move things along, the display’s Facebook page says, the playlist is shortened during “peak viewing hours.”

The light show runs from 5-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 5-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

To see for yourself, head over to 105 Branchwood Dr., Deptford, NJ 08096. And be sure to tune your car radio to 89.1 FM.
